This handsome guy turns 3️⃣7️⃣ today! 🎉

Yesterday we went to a batting cage and he taught Freddy how to bat. As expected, he was the clearest, best, most patient and encouraging teacher. Watching his kindness and warmth with our kiddo is always my favorite thing to see. And somehow, even after a crazy work week, he’ll still always ask what I need and happily make me a killer cocktail. Happy birthday, my love! 🎂

it’s been 20 years (!) and this remains my favorite day of the year! we’ve now done this 21 times & every year it means more to me that we all gather together to take silly photos, hug each other amid the madness of midtown, share a meal & (for the last few years) watch the kiddos bond & hang out. this family (christmas) tree’s got deep roots! 🎄
